Otters are my favorite mammal. Otters have three main characteristics. They hunt in groups. They mostly live in the water.
Otters have a long bodies. They also have short stubby legs. Webbed feet help them move through the water. Sea otters have an extra dense fur to keep them warm in the cold water.
Otters favorite food is fish. To catch the fish first they surround a school of fish. Next the otters catch fish with their paws ?. Then They kill them with their teeth.
They interact with the other members of their pack by chirping to them. They teach their young to swim and hunt. Baby otters are called pups. Otters defend their territory by chasing the intruders out of their territory.
That is why otters are my favorite mammal. Also, they are SUPER cute
